Hooray! Summer is almost here! We often get asked how best to dress for babywearing summer heat so here are our top tips for keeping cool and confident while wearing your baby in warm weather.
1. Dress for the Weather
No matter the season, layers are key! Your carrier or baby wrap acts as one layer of clothing, so it’s important to keep both you and baby lightly dressed when using your carrier. Although of course this being Britain we recommend an extra layer or two in your change bag just in case the weather changes! Fabrics made of natural fibers such as bamboo or cotton are the fastest drying and are breathable, so can help keep baby cool. And don't forget sunshades and a sunhat! If baby doesn’t like to wear their sunhat, wearing one with a wide brim yourself can help keep baby shaded too, and all Ergobaby carriers (except for Aerloom) come with an integrated sunhood (folded into an open or zippered pocket on the outside of the main carrier panel). This can

Babywearing and Developmental Hip Dysplasia
According to the NHS, Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) is a condition where the "ball and socket" joint of the hip does not properly form in babies and young children. About 1 or 2 in every 1,000 babies have DDH that needs to be treated.
All baby's hips are checked as part of the newborn physical examination (usually within 72 hours of being born) so you should know early on if there are any suspected problems but you can check out the NHS information and advice here if you have any concerns.
Babies with Hip Dysplasia may well need treatment and it is especially important that their hips are kept in a stable position and any products such as baby carriers and sleep products support them ergonomically.
All Ergobaby carriers are designated hip healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia

100 Great Walks with Kids
By Jen & Sim Benson
Getting out and exploring beautiful, wild places has always been an important part of life for us. We met through our mutual love for the outdoors, and spent our pre-child days running, climbing, mountain biking and adventure racing together.
When our kids arrived, we wanted to carry on having adventures but needed to adapt, finding different ways of doing things that worked well for all four of us. We tried using a buggy on a few occasions, but quickly found it didn’t suit us, or the places we wanted to explore.
When we started using Ergobaby carriers it really gave us our freedom back. With our children held close to us, we could walk comfortably and safely over rough terrain all day long. We could easily monitor and share body heat – essential in exposed, weather-affected places – and I could even breastfeed on the go, which was very liberating. We also used Ergobaby’s

Beware Counterfeits
We understand that you want the best and safest products for your baby. Unfortunately, there are counterfeit and potentially dangerous copies of our Ergobaby Carriers on the market. We urge you to obtain genuine products and educate yourself and others on how to purchase authorised products and how to avoid counterfeits that could potentially cause harm.
We pride ourselves on using high quality, certified materials produced in independently inspected factories that adhere to responsible work practices. Our Ergobaby carriers have attracted a host of international product awards and health endorsements. Unfortunately, this success has also attracted unscrupulous copies.
We love the fact that the Ergobaby Carrier is a "must-have" on many registries and new baby lists. But that means that you as parents may not be purchasing the Ergobaby Carrier for yourself, and we understand that many of you receive
