Ergobaby Baby Carriers: Perfect for Any "Age or Stage" of Development
It can be tricky to know which carrier will be the perfect fit for your family, particularly if you haven't had baby yet and there are a LOT of options out there. To help you tell your Aura from Embrace and your Adapt from your Omni, we’ve put together this guide to help you pick the right baby carrier or wrap for you and your family. Read on to find out more…
Which baby carrier is right for me? Which one will my baby feel most comfortable in? Can I find one that will fit both me and my partner? Is there one perfect baby carrier for everyone? Let's start with the last question. On the one hand, a baby carrier that serves throughout baby’s entire development, from birth until they prefer to permanently explore the world on their own feet, does indeed exist. But… this kind of carrier might not necessarily be the "perfect" solution for everyone. Every baby is different – so are the people carrying them – and they all

We really believe that babywearing is for everyone. Whether you’re a first-time parent or a parent of 3, using a baby carrier or sling can help you every day. Here’s just some of the things you may not have considered…
Skin to Skin
It’s been well documented that skin-to-skin contact between a mum and baby helps with bonding and breastfeeding. It is also a great way for dad and baby to bond in the first few weeks after birth. Holding baby gently cradled in a sling allows for a more gentle introduction from womb to the world.
Our Aura Baby Wrap is lightweight and breathable, allowing your baby to be held comfortably against your body, so you can both enjoy those first cuddles.

Don't Forget Dads
Mum has been carrying baby for 9 months, so it’s no surprise that a lot of dads are eager to have their turn when baby arrives!
Our Embrace newborn carrier can be used from birth (min. 3.2kgs/7lbs - 11.3kgs) and is the simplest

Purrfect for your CARiFiT kit bag
The Omni 360 Cool Air Mesh Grey Leopard is here and we think it's great for adding a touch of flair to your CARiFiT workouts!
Keep cool with a Sweaty Betty gym vest with a dropped back hem, perfect for teaming with some statement leggings (like these 7/8 Technical Leggings from Next) and the loose fit will aid breastfeeding mums.
Look after your feet with a pair of Nike Air Max trainers, which boast a tongueless design (helping you slide them on and off with baby on board) and rubber tread to keep you safe and stable.
Throw an Under Armour zip through hoodie in the mix to stop you warming down too quickly, help baby stay snug on your way back home or just because, let's face it, who doesn't like a warm, soft hoodie?!
Track your progress with the Fitbit Charge 4 fitness tracker, showing you just how hard you've been working.
And because hard work deserves a reward, we think this Tiba + Marl holdall would make for a stylish kit bag 😉

What is a Pelvic Tuck and Why is it so Important?
You'd be forgiven for wondering if a 'pelvic tuck' was the latest surgery touted by Hollywood stars or something you might hear in a pilates class, but it's actually a lot more simple than that! The pelvic tuck is a quick and easy technique that ensures your baby is correctly seated in their carrier, ensuring they have optimal positioning and making it comfier for them and you!
Here's Hannah Wallace of WearMyBaby to show you how it's done:

Or, if you're more of a written instructions kind of learner, then scroll down for a handy graphic. Pro tip - save the images to your camera roll for easy double-checking while you're out and about as it's a great idea to do a pelvic tuck every time you pop your baby in the carrier.

Picking the right baby carrier for your newborn and using it correctly
Lizzie Start - Carrying consultant, educator & trainer at Cake Club Sling Library & Parenting Support in Southend & Born to Carry
For new parents, faced with carrying their tiny bundle of joy in those early days of sleeplessness, adrenaline and bliss, the idea of choosing a sling can be utterly overwhelming. There are so many different options, so many choices to make, seemingly endless styles to choose between – stretchy wrap, buckle carrier, soft or structured, parent-facing, world-facing, back carry, hip carry… Where do you even begin?!
For newborns, safety is key. The most important thing to consider is how to keep your baby’s airway clear, which comes down to how they are positioned and supported in the sling. The safest position for your newborn is to be upright, rather than reclined or cradled. Their size, birthweight, length and muscle tone may need to be taken into consideration when choosing an appropriate

With the summer temperatures and recent heatwave we just experienced, have you ever asked yourself ‘how warm will it be in a baby carrier?’
Our partners in Croatia have hot temperatures more or less permanently - at least at this time of year. And that's exactly why a local carrying consultant wanted to know exactly what it was like:
What is the difference between a baby carrier made of mesh material and a cotton carrier?
To find out, she first kept an Ergobaby Adapt and an Adapt Cool Air Mesh at home at a constant 25 degrees and wore each for 10 minutes. After just under half a minute and at the end of the test wearing, a photo with a thermal imaging camera was taken. She repeated the same with the Tula Free to Grow and the Free to Grow Coast carriers. Meanwhile, her baby was wearing a cloth nappy and a cotton undershirt. She wore a cotton T-shirt herself.
The results of her experiment really amazed her Croatian colleague: While the temperatures in the Adapt rose from 25.3 to 33.2 degrees

Can I Use a Baby Carrier when Pregnant?
Growing your family is a big and exciting thing and whilst some people might assume that you've 'done it all before' there are plenty of new challenges to face and experiences to enjoy being pregnant the second (or third or fourth or fifth!) time around. One of those, in particular, is dealing with pregnancy whilst already being a mother.
Plenty will be different - chances are there are fewer opportunities for putting your feet up this time - but there are some things that shouldn't have to change and one of those, at least for the earlier portion of your pregnancy, is babywearing.
Is it safe to babywear while pregnant and will I be comfortable?
The short answer is that if you are healthy and have no medical reason to avoid lifting loads then yes, babywearing during at least the early months of your pregnancy shouldn't pose any risk to you or your children. To set your mind at rest though, check in with your healthcare provider, especially if
