As Winter draws in, you’ll want to ensure your baby stays snug while out and about this chilly season. We asked parents to share their top tips for keeping babies cosy on-the-go and here’s some of our favourites:
Leggings Hack
@abi.fields I pop tights on under my little ones leggings to ensure his feet stay warm and his legs stay extra toasty. Socks never stay on babies feet for very long so this stops you worrying about their teeny toes! ❄️⛄️
When carrying your baby, the carrier acts as a clothing layer
@Mamgustella My daughter always puts the cutest little hats on my granddaughter. She doesn’t put too many layers if she’s babywearing as she can get too hot!
@__ellejay__ I’m keeping my baby warm this winter with lots of cuddles and keeping her close to me in the carrier 💕⛄️
Suit Up with a snowsuit or pram suit when strolling
@priyanka151 Cosy furry pramsuit, fleecy blanket in the pram and toasty hat!
@sunshine_rainbow88 Cosy little pramsuit to keep him warm
A coat for two
@thereallorettatran I cuddle my baby boy in his carrier under my pregnancy coat to keep us both nice and toasty 👶⛄️
@Voodoodancing An oversized coat for the baby wearer to cover baby up too!
Hats off! Some babies don’t like to wear a hat so try a hoody instead.
@mrsflk My little boy is two months tomorrow so not had to do too much wrapping up for the cold yet. But he hates hats, so I go for hoodies.
Stay Close
@chaus_adventure Extra kisses and cuddles 💕
@charlpeacock Keep our little lady snuggley with lots of cuddles 👶🏻😘
Add a layer with mums scarf
@han_chau483 I would wear a scarf and use it to wrap my baby up
@stephsaunders85 We keep warm both wrapped up in oversized scarf.
A Grandma’s classic
@rachelcrispy Can’t beat a cosy Grandma knitted hat! Next baby due in April!
@marydoll87 Hand knitted hats from Granny and wearing our wee man in his ergo for cuddly body heat 💚☃️
@holmesdearman We keep warm by snuggling up in blankets knitted by Granny x
Layer like an onion!
@charliesevers Layers, knitted socks and hat, gloves...need enough items you can take on and off keeping her at right temperature! I wear a big cardi that goes round us both...don't normally need it as she's a perfect hot water bottle! #winner
Keep heat in with thermals
@kazweedon Thermals – thermal tops and pants are the perfect base layers as they sit nice and close to the skin. These are especially good if your little one has grown out of bodysuits, and also make great winter pyjamas! ❄️👶🎄✨
@madimoo82 It's all about layering so little man doesn't get too hot or too cold. Also we love thermal leggings for really cold weather.
