This carrier was at the higher end of the market price wise – but was also high end of quality, suitability and comfort, therefore I felt it was good value for money. I found it extremely easy to use the manual to set up and the straps were tied up nicely when it was unpacked which allowed the carrier to be adjusted easily. On a few days out my sister and I took it in turns to carry and the carrier was easy to alter to fit our different body shape. The lumbar support on the carrier was a real comforter and felt it helped carrying for long durations. The straps were padded and had lovely comfort. My 3 year old daughter has the matching dolly ergobaby and she absolutely loved being like her mummy and little sister by carrying her dolly. This was a real plus point to the carrier too. All the previous Ergo models have been popular in the library and not without reason so we had high hopes of this one, and Ergo didn’t disappoint! The change from needing an insert with smaller babies to adjustable width settings works really well and the coloured outlines for the tabs make this really easy to adjust and the refine using the outer adjustments. The cross strap option means even the most petite parents get a good fit for front carries but perfect fit adjusters would be a really great addition for really comfortable back carries. Dads especially seem to love this carrier and its easy to swap between parents. We really love this new addition to the ergo family and all our parents seem to agree with us too. – Kerrie, Middlesex
I am already a proud owner of an ergobaby carrier and so was excited to trial the newest addition to the ergobaby range. The adapt is designed to be used from newborn to 20kg, importantly without a bulky infant insert used in the other ergobaby carriers. The instructions are excellent and include important safety tips. The seat width is adjusted with colour coded velcro tabs and there are the usual shoulder and waist straps to adjust to the size of the wearer. A nice additional feature was the lumbar support pad to increase comfort for the wearer’s back. The seat is deep for the baby to sit in comfortably and the wide waist belt and padded shoulder straps were appreciated. The Adapt feels like a well constructed product that will last. The only complaint I have is that it does not have front outward facing functionality which is something my little girl very much enjoys and is available with other carriers tested. Overall, the Adapt is an excellent carrier from newborn and I would recommend it to others. – Helen, North Somerset
